Genesis Chapter 5, Part 1: Translation

This is the account of the generations of Adam. In the day Elohim created Adam, he created him in the likeness of Elohim. Male and female he created them. He blessed them, and called their name “Adam” in the day they were created.

Adam was 130 years, and he brought forth [a child] in his likeness, like his image, and he called his name Shet. After he brought forth Shet, Adam's days were 800 years, and he brought forth sons and daughters. All the days of Adam, which he lived, were 930 years, and he died.

Shet was 5 years and 100 years, and he brought forth Enosh. After Shet was brought forth, the days of Enosh were 7 years, and 800 years, and he brought forth sons and daughters. All the days of Shet were 12 years and 900 years, and he died.

Enosh was 90 years, and he brought forth Qeynan. After he brought forth Qeynan, Enosh was 15 years and 800 years, and he brought forth sons and daughters. All the days of Enosh were 5 years and 900 years, and he died.

Qeynan was 70 years, and he brought forth Mahalalel. After he cuased to bring forth Mahalalel, Qeynan was 40 years and 800 years, and he brought forth sons and daughters. All the days of Qeynan were 10 years and 900 years, and he died.

Mahalalel was 5 years and 60 years, and he brought forth Yared. After he caused to bring forth Yared, Mahalael was 30 years and 800 years and he brought forth sons and daughters. Alll the days of Mahalalel were 5 and 90 years and 800 years, and he died.

Yared was 2 and 60 years and 100 years and he brought forth Chanokh. After he caused to bring forth Chanokh, And Yared was 800 years and he brought forth sons and daughters. All the days of Yared were 2 and 60 years and 900 years, and he died.

Chanokh was 5 and 60 years and he brought forth Metushalech. After he caused to bring forth Metushelach, Chanokh walked with the Elohim 300 years, and he brought forth sons and daughters. All the days Chanokh were 5 and 60 years and 300 years, and Hanokh walked with the Elohim and he was not because Elohim took him.

Metushelach was 7 and 80 years and 100 years and he brought forth Lamekh. After he caused to bring forth Lamekh, Metushalech was 2 and 80 years and 700 years, and he brought forth sons and daughters. All the days of Metushelach were 9 and 60 years and 900 years and he died.

And Lamekh was 2 and 80 years and 100 years, and he brought forth a son. He called his name Noach, to say “This will be rest (yenachamenu) from our work and from the painful grief of our hands from the earthen soil which YHWH cursed." And after he caused to bring forth Noach, Lamech was 5 and 90 years and 500 years and he brought forth sons and daughters. All the days of Lamekh were 7 and 70 years and 700 years, and he died.

Noach was son of 500 years and Noach brought forth Shem, Cham, and Yaphet.
